domain
Glassforte.com was purchased in April 2007 to be an animanga-oriented and personal site collective. With this purpose the domain succeeds my previous domains aquarel.org and kaien.nu. Aquarel.org was my first domain and born from an out-of-control blogging habit together with a more out-of-control animanga adoration. It lasted from May 2004 to May 2007. My intense affinity for manga peaked after the first encounters with the highly acclaimed Bleach series, resulting in the impulsive purchase of kaien.nu in April 2005, which served as a Bleach-oriented domain in the following two years.
Changes in life, adjustment of pace and shifting of interest made me think about my presence and aim online, with a conclusive decision to merge aquarel.org and kaien.nu into a new, wider-scoped domain. Glassforte.com is the result.
A total amount of one new site has launched at this domain since spring this year, and others have expanded in their content. Additional site plans are in stand-by, where in the meantime old sites and fanlistings have perished. People who are familiar with my domain — or rather my domain maintenance habits — probably know that I tend to lay my sites out there on the grass, while I run off to nowhere for a.. rather long period. Then by some magical rush of awakening I appear, hasten back to that grass and re-order everything laid out there. Consistent domain owner of the weekly type? No, I guess.
However I do like webdesign and the collective domain owning business, together with a dozen of other things. And I’ve found aa way to combine these interests and export all of it together through glassforte.com. To sum it up: this place is about expression and sharing of interests, with an additional discussion, opinion, dedication, crazy fangirling and sarcasm here and there.
Now what’s left for me is to hope the visitor has some interests in common and finds the content here interesting enough to stick around for another visit or two. With these things said: I do hope you’ll enjoy your stay. And thanks a lot for your visit!
