As in any adventure shounen manga with a lot of kick-ass action, Bleach not only sticks to the tellings of normal human beings. Us humans are very interesting.. but only to a certain degree. For the ultimate power show downs, creative fighting techniques and state of the art fashion aesthetic, we are complemented by all sorts of beings! And most of the time, these beings are capable of far more than we normal humans are. But that doesn’t matter, it has always been more interesting to engage in other individuals’ comings and goings in the first place. Though different from descent, all of these beings resemble humans in one way or the other.

• Human; the almost 7 billion of us that walk this earth.
• Shinigami; it's more like a job than an actual species.
• Quincy; these are the real cool people (the Ishida’s, the Ishida’s!)
• Plus; the kind souls in this world.
• Hollow; the meanies out there.
