The average human in our world is one that does not have spiritual power and cannot see anything related to the spiritual world. So basically if we consider current reality in the context of Bleach, normal people like you and I in a sense, are totally oblivious to what happens around us on a spiritual level. Usually memories of humans involved in incidents involving the spiritual or supernatural are erased. Human beings are considered to have minimal spiritual pressure by other creatures that do posses spiritual abilities.
This however, does not mean ordinary human beings cannot become aware of the spiritual. As the story develops, characters that are considered normal humans, start to see things that they normally could not perceive. Usually these are people who've got a lot of hidden, yet undiscovered power within them.
