Besides being a Fighter, Soubi is also an art student. He is an University undergrad and studies Japanese art. No matter how you put it, students are students: we like to procrastinate and in the meantime do things we so know we shouldn’t be doing, but we’re doing it anyway.
Exactly, Soubi is no exception. Nearing the deadline of a painting assignment, he can be seen painting for a few moments, and most of the time he is busy dealing with Ritsuka. His best friend warns him that he will not in time finish his assignment if he plans on courting Ritsuka all day long. Well Soubi doesn’t mind, he quite enjoys the fact that his courting has achieved response from the subject of courtship.
Soubi lives on his own, and his best friend Kio stops by once in a while to hang out with him. If you subtract the fact that Soubi’s interest lies in a sixth grader and he had a total amount of 1 friend, then Soubi doesn’t seem to differ much from your average art student.
Besides this, Soubi has also been a student at a special battle school, called Shichisei Gakuen, from which he graduated. Shichisei Gakuen is run by an organization called Nanatsu no Tsuki, or ’The Seven Moons’. Not so accidentally, in the note that Seimei leaves Ritsuka after his death, Seimei claims that he was killed by this very same organization.
